New Component: Vertical Video Gallery

Announcement

We’ve added a new Vertical Video Gallery component to Drupal Cloud, expanding how you can present vertical video content.

In addition to the existing Vertical Video component—which can be used for a single vertical video or a small set of up to three closely related videos—the Vertical Video Gallery is designed for larger collections of videos organized around a shared theme or story.

The Vertical Video Gallery component displays a horizontally-scrollable series of videos in a single row, much like images in the Media Gallery component.

Features of the Vertical Video Gallery

The Vertical Video Gallery component requires a minimum of three videos and accepts vertically-oriented videos from either YouTube or Vimeo. The videos must be set to be public or unlisted on its hosting platform in order for the videos to perform properly.

The Vertical Video Gallery component also provides an optional title and description above the gallery to provide context, and each video can also include its own title, which appears as an overlay.

Usage Guide

We’ve updated the Vertical Video Usage Guide to include the new Vertical Video Gallery component. The usage guide provides best practices for both the Vertical Video and Vertical Video Gallery components and offers guidance to help you avoid common pitfalls.
